Inspired by Landscape Portfolio

In this portfolio I gathered paintings that have been inspired by fleeting memories of past experience communing with nature. The images offer an immediate sensory experience, encompassing atmospheric conditions and the play of natural light. These paintings frequently begin with actual experiences in nature, I then explore as I paint and the shapes, forms and colors change in the process.

I think you will notice that I am keenly interested in “in between places and states”, the changing of seasons, the movement of water, the effects of weather on light and the way light is modulated in the morning and evening. Because of these interests the paintings transcend representation and evoke a temporal location. 

Many Of these works are smaller, perfect for those who want a smaller original because they have a smaller space available or a smaller budget for an original painting.
